Nevion, a subsidiary of Sony, specializes in virtualized media production solutions, focusing on IP, cloud, and software-defined technologies. Their offerings cater to broadcasters, telecoms, government agencies, and post-production studios, facilitating flexible, scalable, and secure media workflows.

    • Software-Defined Media Node. A versatile platform that performs real-time media transport, processing, and monitoring. It supports SDI, SMPTE ST 2022-6, and SMPTE ST 2110 standards, offering features like video up/down/cross conversion, encoding/decoding (JPEG 2000, H.264, TICO, JPEG XS), audio processing (MADI, AES67), and IP media edge functions such as NAT and flow de-jittering. Virtuoso is certified for SMPTE ST 2110, NMOS, and TR-1001 standards. 

    • Media Orchestration Platform. A comprehensive orchestration and SDN control system that provides connection management, service assurance, and network inventory capabilities. It enables routing of video, audio, and data across SDI and IP networks, facilitating hybrid workflows involving both on-premises and cloud resources. VideoIPath supports integration with various equipment and cloud services, including AWS Media Services and Amagi CLOUDPORT.

    • IP SDN Media Fabric. A portfolio of high-capacity IP switches engineered for broadcast requirements in LAN and WAN networks. eMerge features flexible programming of NAT rules and interoperability with other COTS IP switches. The latest addition includes a 400G switch with 32 x 400G ports, offering a total capacity of 25.6 Tbps.

    • Management Systems: Tools for monitoring and managing media workflows.

    • Video Gateways: Facilitate video transport over IP networks.

    • cProcessor: Handle transport stream processing, multiplexing, and redundancy switching.

    • Ventura: Enable transport of video and audio over IP wide area networks (WAN).
